I am currently an instructor at Gwinnett Technical College teaching in the Veterinary Technology program. Within the field of veterinary medicine, I hold an Associate and Bachelor degree in Veterinary Technology and have held my Veterinary Technician Specialty in Emergency and Critical Care since 2005 and am certified by ACVECC in small animal CPR. In veterinary medicine my interests include cardiovascular and respiratory critical care monitoring, massive trauma, transfusion medicine, and all aspects of exotic animal medicine with an emphasis on the effects of husbandry on the overall health of captive exotics and enrichment. I am the co-editor and contributing author to Exotic Animal Medicine for the Veterinary Technician.
Beyond work, I also have a personal life. I have been a reptile hobbyist my entire life. Current breeding projects include Northern Blue Tongue Skinks, Nuu Ana Leachies, and hopefully will be producing some Indian Star Tortoises within the next year or so. I have a diverse collection of snakes, lizards, and tortoises.
I also have a passion for bowling, heavy metal, and horror movies from the 1970's and 1980's.
